Blizzards now ravage the land in Worldslayer, and it looks like pretty a harsh place to explore, all things considered. Worldslayer will introduce a whole new campaign featuring a fearsome opponent - the powerful Altered - Ereshkigal - along with new locations, and more. This huge add-on launches in June, and Xbox Game Pass should enable a cheaper entry point for those looking to jump in. Outriders developer People Can Fly has just released a deep-dive into its upcoming 'Worldslayer' Expansion. Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series, and The Earthborn Trilogy, which is also on audiobook. Subscribe to my free weekly content round-up newsletter, God Rolls. I mean, this is all cool, but the timing is pretty bizarre, and I would love to know how exactly this came together.įollow me on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. But players now will have to make that call, and then we have to figure out what’s going on with pre-orders too, as this game has been available for purchase on Xbox for a while now. I don’t know if this changes my mind about where to purchase the game because as I said, I’d lose a bunch of progress on PlayStation by switching now. It also shows that Microsoft will not just rely on Bethesda and other first party offerings to keep Game Pass enticing, and will continue to do big third party deals like this. It’s a big deal for both Outriders, which presumably landed a big check from Microsoft to make this happen, and for Microsoft, which boasts Game Pass access to one of the most anticipated games of the spring. This seems like a pretty slapped-together deal, given the timing. To change their mind now, they’d lose all that demo grinding time. It’s easy to see a situation where someone may have played on PC and grinded out four characters and a bunch of legendaries, only to see the game go “free” on Xbox. There’s also the issue of where players played the demo, which carries over progress to the final game, but does not have cross save.
